In the UNESCO Convention 2003 music was pinpointed as one of the under utilized resource to alleviate poverty in the third world.

Over the years, Kisima Music Awards’ remarkable and well documented rise and maturity of both the music practitioners and the industry has shown the potential of the whole spectrum once the harnessing of the vital organs are done to realize their dream.

Kisima Music Awards has worked towards developing reputable affiliations in the world over through cultural ambassadors and enthusiasts in the international community and the Diaspora.

The growth of the industry envisaged has been captured in the strategic advancement of Kisima Music Awards initiative into adding value into the already existing potential of the local music industry by setting up of a Holding entity to manage the organs of advancement.

Set up in March 2006, Kisima Holdings Ltd has opened avenue that were only available at a high price to the music petitioners or the privileged.
